GÎTE COLOMBIER DES SENTIS

In the heart of Anjou, in a village on the banks of the Loire near Saumur, you are welcome in our gîte for a week, a weekend or a few days.

 

The lodge “le Colombier des sentis” is an old Angevin dovecote with its stone walls and its small troglodyte cellars in a falun rock. We have just completely and carefully renovated this gîte this June, it is impeccable and in an exceptional site.

 

Our charming little cottage combines modern comfort with old stones. It's a cozy and warm little nest where life is good, with a bucolic garden for you to relax.

 

Located in a quiet cul-de-sac, you will be awakened by the singing of birds.

The dead end leads to a hiking trail suitable for visiting the woods, meadows, the village and its castle.

 

You can enjoy the south-facing garden with a lawn on the edge of a hillside, a barbecue next to the terrace.

 

The location of the gîte is optimal and central for discovering the wonders of the Loire Valley (UNESCO cultural heritage). You are located:

A few minutes from the Loire, you can discover the Loire on foot, by bicycle (Loire à Vélo circuit), by barge, by canoe, on horseback or by hot air balloon.

5 minutes from Doué-la-Fontaine: the city of roses where you will visit the Zoo (Bioparc); the rose garden, the arenas, the mystery of the faluns...

As well as villages 5 minutes away which are really worth the detour: Rochemenier: small, typical troglodyte village. Le Tourreilles on the banks of the Loire and Rou-Marson, Chenehutte, etc.

You can also enjoy traditional fouées.

10 minutes from Saumur: the châteaux of Saumur, Brézé and the Angevin wine-growing areas where you can taste Champagne method wines, Champigny, Coteau du Layon, etc.

30 minutes from Angers, a town of character with its castle, Jean Lurçat and David d'Angers museum, Adam's house and its typical streets, Terra Botanica, etc...

 

Composition of the cottage (78 m2):

Ground floor: living room with modern equipped kitchen (fridge, freezer, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster). A dining room and independent living room with sofa and two armchairs suitable for resting and reading overlooking the garden (with television). Wood stove (winter only) a bathroom (shower) with sink and two basins. A large cupboard in the hallway with washing machine. Separate WC.

 

Still on the ground floor: a master bedroom with a very comfortable large 160 x 200 bed (new mattress) with a large dressing room, another bedroom with two single beds.

 

On the mezzanine above the living room: an additional bed for 2 people of 140 x 190

 

Very pleasant and flowery enclosed garden with two-space parking

Heating: an electricity package of 25 euros per week will be requested in winter.

Animal accepted: only one well behaved and well behaved dog.
